The Victorian

The Victorian Craft Beer Cafe is a Halifax institution with an atmosphere so thick you can chew it. Think dark wood, wingback chairs, and floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. Because the pub’s physical identity is so well-established, its printed materials don't need to be "hide-bound" by a rigid set of brand guidelines.

This gives me the creative freedom to treat every poster and beer mat as its own unique piece. Rather than sticking to one repetitive formula or layout, I can experiment with different styles—from traditional Victorian typography to celebrate their tenth anniversary to more modern, punchy layouts—to best fit the mood of each event. It’s a project that allows the designs to be as eclectic and full of character as the pub itself.
